Custom & AI

Custom apps & AI solutions

Focused tools and portals when a spreadsheet or plugin has stopped being enough.

The problem this solves

Sometimes the work does not fit existing software: a client needs a portal, an internal process lives in fragile spreadsheets, or content work is repetitive enough to assist.

Who it suits

A custom build is worth it when:

  • a process is important, repeated and currently manual
  • clients need a branded, private space
  • existing tools cannot be configured to fit
  • content or response work is high-volume and repetitive

Typical deliverables

  • a scoped, focused MVP with a clear definition of done
  • client portals and internal dashboards
  • custom integrations that extend existing systems
  • AI features such as drafting, classification or summarisation, with human review where needed
  • authentication and sensible data handling

Not included by default

  • AI that makes unrestricted business decisions
  • promises of perfect accuracy
  • large multi-year platforms
  • free support in perpetuity

How we work

  1. 01

    Decide if it is needed

If existing software can be configured to do the job, we will say so. Building is the last option, not the first.

  2. 02

    Define a small MVP

We define the smallest useful version with a clear definition of done, so value arrives early.

  3. 03

    Build with review points

Where AI is involved we make its role explicit and keep a human in the loop where the outcome matters.

  4. 04

    Handle data properly

We define what data is processed, where it goes and which third parties are involved before launch.

What we need from you

  • the process or workflow to improve, described plainly
  • who will use it and how often
  • any data, privacy or compliance constraints
  • a decision-maker for scope

On AI, honestly

AI-assisted development is how we build bigger things faster. That is different from an AI-powered product feature. We only describe a feature as AI when the delivered product actually includes one, and we define its data handling before launch.

  • AI features are described by what they actually do
  • human review is explicit where accuracy matters

Frequently asked questions

Do we need AI at all?

Often not. Many problems are solved better with a clearer process and better configuration. We suggest AI only when it earns its place.

Is your development AI-powered?

AI-assisted tooling speeds up our work, but that is not a product feature. We describe AI capabilities only when the delivered product contains them.

How accurate will an AI feature be?

No AI is perfectly accurate. We set expectations, add human review where decisions matter, and never present AI output as infallible.

Have a process that deserves a tool?

Describe the workflow and we will tell you honestly whether custom software is the right answer.
